Couples
Therapy
Every person has the need to connect and feel understood in their relationship and, though most of us wish we could avoid it, every relationship has conflict. We fall into negative patterns and unhealthy ways of responding to each other, and it becomes a struggle to find your way out of this pattern.
Couples therapy can be an opportunity to learn what is contributing to this negative pattern, how to repair and resolve issues, and build a better understanding of each other. Using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) approach, we will work on moving out of these negative cycles that are contributing to arguments, stuck patterns and disconnect. Through this better understanding of each other, the hope is that healthier communication and a deeper, more meaningful connection can take place.
I also believe that you do not need to be in crisis to seek couples therapy - perhaps your goal as a couple is to maintain closeness and connection. If your intentions are to create a healthy space to discuss your relationship, couples therapy is still for you!
